The Committee

We are a group of volunteers commissioned by the Lavenham Parish Council.  The Neighbourhood Plan Revision Group is chaired by Roy Mawford along with other villagers all with an array of skills and knowledge.

 

 

Roy Mawford Chairman of the group, moved to Lavenham in June 2017. Roy was Chief Executive of Hastings Borough Council for 14 years. Before that, he was an Executive Director of Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Trust for 7 years. Prior to that he worked at director level elsewhere in the NHS for 5 years and as a Management Consultant with Coopers & Lybrand Associates for 2 years.

 

James Soane and Christopher Ash – architects at Project Orange
Project Orange is a resourceful and agile Architecture and Design Studio set up by Christopher and James. They believe in working collaboratively to generate purposeful and sustainable projects. In the face of the ecological crisis we are actively taking an ethical position that values resilience, innovation and society.

 

Dr Tom Butler has lived in Lavenham since 2008, after working for 30 years in the NHS and social care.  His expertise is in health policy analysis and mental health and primary care research and development.  He was also a Senior Fellow at the University of Manchester

 

John Ramsey born in Sudbury and educated in Sudbury, Colchester and Ipswich.  Full time Lavenham resident for past 10 years after weekending for almost 20 years.

Retired from the University of London at St. George’s Hospital Medical School, which he joined as a forensic toxicologist in 1967.

Lindsay Ramsey together with John, Lavenham resident for almost 30 years.  Began her career working in the events business,  before joining a start-up company to write their corporate literature, staying on to devise and establish protocols and procedures. Retiring after 25 years with the same company as general manager of the workplace drug testing business unit.

 

Irene Mitchell -

 

 

Deborah Sullivan has lived in the Lavenham area for over 23 years.  A successful business manager  previously working in account and sales management in the IT and voice communications sectors. Running events and venue hire at Beth Chatto Gardens prior to Covid-19 and now carrying out a number of volunteer roles including working at Cressing Temple.

Janice Muckian moved to Lavenham 2018, became a Parish Councillor in June 2022. Janice worked for the NHS for 37 years, retiring from her role of Consultant Radiographer in February 2022. This role included being a member of professional committees and advisory groups, with a particular focus on the development and delivery of local and national training programmes.
